Script Part 1

PARALIFE

SCENE 1

INT. CELL IN THE PIT OF THE ABYSS 

[Cyeon sat in his cell. The light from the crack shining on the lower half of his face highlighting his crazed smile. He reaches out with his hand and touches the crack feeling freedom.]

CYEON (V.O)

After all these eons, I can finally be one with time and space. The time has been so confusing that I cannot remember my Pantheon. They are all traitors. Jealous of how strong I was. I let them trap me, but this game has gone on long enough. 

[Cyeon placed his index and middle finger in the crack and attempt to open it wider. Electricity shocks him.]

CYEON

Still to weak...even this affects me. 

[Cyeon sits back and thinks  measuring his level of powers. He shakes his head in annoyance.]

CYEON(V.O)

I am not at full power. It will take some time before I can break free. What can I do to pass the time?

[Cyeon closes his eyes, tilts his head toward the crack and listens.]

EXT. WORLD "A" BOARDMAN OH STREET- AFTERNOON - CONTINUOUS

[Evangeline "Angel" Gautier walked with two of her closest friends, Kiara Parthenopaeus and Faythe Malik. Angel shakes her head laughing.]

ANGEL

You two are crazy.

FAYTHE

Hey, a show about two women coming up with outrageous dares and doing them is brilliant!

[Faythe exaggeratedly moved her hands as she spoke.]

KIARA

I know, I came up with it.

ANGEL

What about me? What would I be doing?

FAYTHE

Bringing us Oreo's and juice of life.

KIARA

No we need inspiration every now and then. Comic relief is important when it comes to television.

[The three laugh as the arrive at Angel's house. Angel unlocks the door and they walk inside.] 

FAYTHE

Hey, Angel do you have any snacks?

ANGEL

No, only yogurt.

FAYTHE

Can I have some?

ANGEL

I only have a few left. Sorry, I eat them while on the way to school.

KIARA

Come on. don't be selfish. Give her one.

[Angel sighs and walks to the kitchen. She stops and looks as a photo of her mother. She smiles sadly at it and walks by.]

INT. WORLD "B" NEW YORK CITY. EVA'S APPARTMENT - AFTERNOON- CONTINUOUS

[Evangeline "Eva" Gautier slams the door of her and her mothers bedroom. She stomps her feet in frustration and pounds the door with her fist then locks the door.]

MOTHER (O.S)

Why are you so angry with me? Why won't you talk to me Eva?

EVA

Because you won't leave me alone!

MOTHER(O.S)

I'm your mom, I'm supposed to be looking out for you! Your conman of a father gets worse every year. He owes too much money to dangerous people. Stay away from him!

EVA

Don't talk about my dad like that! Dad cares more for me then you do you cold hearted bitch!

[Eva walks towards her bed and looks under it finding her box of money she grabs a few hundred and puts it in her jacket pocket and zips it shut. Her furious expression is clearly visible in the light from the window behind her.]

EVA (V.O)

Dad you bastard I told you to lay off the gambling! I hate that he has dirt on me. This should tide him over for a while, gotta keep his mouth shut. If the cops find out about what I did...I'm toast.

MOTHER(O.S)

I love you! Your father is the one using you! Can't you tell the difference?

EVA (V.O)

Oh yes, I can.

[Eva walks towards the window. She opens is and climbs down the fire escape.]

INT. CELL IN THE PIT OF THE ABYSS -CONTINUOUS 

[Cyeon laughed as he saw the parallel versions of the girl known as Evangeline Gautier.]

Iorn Man

Well finally I "read" extremis. I couldn't remember the site Cliff mentioned so I watched the motion comic on Hulu. Now I loved both the movie and the comic. There were distinct differences between both but I would have to go with the movie in terms of favorites. However, I think the writers should have added more from the comic. I believe the adaptation is loose the writers kept some aspects and changed the rest. The Mandarin was an interesting twist and I loved that they added that. And keeping Dr. Krillian alive was an interesting twist however I think they should have left him dead. He was, in my mind to, cliche a villain. Though there was something bothering me from the comic. Wasn't it mentioned that 2 vials were taken? That they had tree vials of extremis? Was I misunderstanding something? If there was really three what happened to the other vial? If so maybe I will start reading the comics I'm curious as to what Tony will face in the future now that he is truly Iorn Man.

Blade Runner

Hello, well personally I was frustrated beyond belief when I finished  Do Androids Dream of Electric sheep. However I wasn't so much with Blade Runner. I think the film is more of a loose adaptation then a intermediate. Too much was taken away and changed for it to be otherwise in my opinion. There where only a few characters and parts that were kept. The location, the way characters act, the added scenes and substituted terms. The film is an analogy as through out the film is is in Rick's point of view. The way the film was made it ended with a happy ending in a sense, the Replicants died however we are left with the confusion on whether or not Rick himself is a replicant as well, while in the book we are positive that Rick was human as he went through the life changing experience that was the day he met Reachel. Personally I didn't like either the book or the movie, mainly due to the drastic changed the film showed and the never ending frustration I got from the book.
